The romantic sequences of the couple are expected to be shot during its second schedule shooting.
The "Sarrainodu" actress has joined the team after wrapping up the shooting of Ram Charan's upcoming movie "Dhruva." This is the first time Rakul will be pairing up with Mahesh after starring opposite biggies of the industry including Ram Charan ("Bruce Lee" and "Dhruva"), Junior NTR ("Nannaku Prematho"), Allu Arjun ("Sarrainodu") and Ravi Teja ("Kick 2"). It has to be noted that Rakul has replaced Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, who was the first choice of the makers of the upcoming movie.
The upcoming movie, which is being jointly bankrolled by NV Prasad and Tagore Madhu, is expected to hit the screens in April next year.
Rakul, who made her acting debut with the Kannada film "Gilli" in 2009, has made her mark in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi movies in a span of seven years. The Punjabi beauty will be next seen in Rajkummar Rao's Bollywood project "Shimla Mirchi" and also has Surender Reddy-directed "Dhruva" in her kitty for the year. Meanwhile, "Srimanthudu" actor Mahesh also has untitled Vamsi Paidpalli project lined up for the year.
