Rakshit Shetty and Rashmika Mandanna have finally put an end to rumours regarding their affair. The actress has admitted that they are in a relationship and that the engagement ceremony will be held on July 3.
Rashmika Mandanna said that their friendship slowly turned into love once the media started speculating about their relationship, the Times of India reported. Following the reports about their affair, her father spoke with Rakshit Shetty and told him that the family has no objection from its side, thus giving a consent to their relationship.
Rashmika Mandanna's mother feels that Rakshit Shetty is the "ideal" boy for her, but their marriage will not happen for the next two years as the couple wants to concentrate on their career right now.
The actress added that she has met Rakshit Shetty's family members on a few occasions and bonded with them. She has also learnt a few Tulu words. "They are extremely sweet and his mother hugs me every time we meet. Once, I even walked up to his father when he was looking rather serious and said, 'Uncle, please smile!' Now, whenever we meet, he sports a broad smile," the daily quoted the actress as saying.
Rakshit Shetty said that friendship remains the foundation of their relationship, and that friends and family members will be a part of their engagement.
Rakshity Shetty and Rashmika Mandanna worked together in the blockbuster Kannada movie, Kirik Party. They turned good friends during the making of the film, which was directed by Rishab Shetty.
