With Raksha Bandhan fast approaching, Bollywood celebs are gearing up to celebrate the festival with their brothers and sisters.
As we all know, Raksha Bandhan is a festival of brother-sister relationship wherein a sister ties a rakhi (traditional thread) on her brother's wrist and in return, the brother promises (symbolically) to protect her. However, this is not the way Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon and her sister Nupur usually celebrate.
Apparently, the two tie rakhi to each other's wrists on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and spend the day with their family. But this year, Kriti is too busy with her work schedule and thus, will not be going home to celebrate the festival. So, her sister Nupur will be flying down to Mumbai.
"Nupur will be flying down to Mumbai, and they will have a short celebration in the city," a source said.
Kriti and Nupur are too close and never miss a chance to meet each other.
"Yes, my sister will be here on Raksha Bandhan. The day shouldn't just be about a brother promising to protect his sister. Siblings could make a similar promise too, just like my sister and I have been doing since childhood," Kriti said.
Meanwhile, the stunning actress is busy shooting for Rohit Shetty's "Dilwale" that has Bollywood's iconic onscreen couple Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in lead roles. Kriti will be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in the film.
