December is going to be a real treat for cinema lovers with several biggies set to clash at the box office.

From Rajinikanth's "Lingaa" to Aamir Khan's "PK," check out the films that are set to dominate screens in south India.

Lingaa

The Rajinikanth starrer is gearing up for a 12 December release. The film will reportedly be released in huge number of screens in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Telangana. "Lingaa" is also set for a huge release in the United States with a screen count of 200. Complete details about the screen count are expected to be revealed only around the time of the film's release.

"Lingaa" is likely to take fantastic openings at the box office considering the star power of Rajinikanth. The film will be the superstar's first live action film in four years after his last release "Endhiran." Fans are looking forward to see their favourite star on the silver screen in his stylish avatar.

The trailer of "Lingaa" has already given a glimpse of what to expect from the film. It is likely to be a complete entertainer with all the commercial elements.

Prabhu Deva has been successful in making action films and some of his hits include "Wanted," "Rowdy Rathore" and "R..Rajkumar."

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn's last release "Singham Returns" emerged as one of the highest grossers of the year.

"Action Jackson" is likely to kick off on a grand note as there are no other big releases around that period. Since Prabhu Deva is a well-known personality in south India, "Action Jackson" is expected to take decent openings in key markets like Tamil Nadu, Andhra and Karnataka.

Vaalu
