Rajinikanth's superhit film "Robot" has been in news for quite some time now as speculations were rife that the makers are planning for its sequel.
And now buzz is that Aamir Khan, whose latest outing "PK" turned out to be a huge success at the box office, has given his nod to "Robot" sequel, reported Deccan Chronicle.
A few months back, rumours were rife that Aamir had been approached by "Robot" director Shankar to play the negative role in "Robot 2". There were also reports that Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan were roped in for the film
However, with news of Mr. Perfectionist joining Rajinikanth's project, it is expected that the two stars will leave no stone unturned to entertain the audience and create a blockbuster hit.
The 49-year-old actor will reportedly play the negative character in the film while Rajinikanth plays the lead role.
The science thriller is expected to go on floors early next year and will have the "Dhoom 3" actor sport a never-seen-before look.
"Robot" (2010) was one of the most expensive Indian movies and was released in three languages – Tamil, Telegu and Hindi. The science thriller was critically acclaimed and received positive responses across the country and overseas.
Meanwhile, Aamir is busy preparing for his next "Dangal". The actor was recently spotted in salt-and-pepper look from the film. "Dangal" is a biopic based on famous wrestler Mahavir Phogat.
