It was recently reported that Amala Paul was likely to pair up with Rajinikanth in his next movie, which will be directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Dhanush on his home banner of Wunderbar Films. Now, the names of two other biggies have started doing rounds.
The latest buzz is that Trisha Krishnan and Nayanthara are also in the race to bag the Rajinikanth-starrer. While the former has not worked with Rajini till date, the latter had worked with the Tamil superstar in the films like "Chandramukhi," "Sivaji" and "Kuselan."
Some reports say that Nayanthara is a strong contender to bag the film, but there are also reports that Trisha Krishan is hot favourite to sign the film. It has to be noted that the "Mankatha" actress has always expressed her wish to work with Rajinikanth. Nonetheless, the makers are yet to open up on the issue.
Earlier, it was speculated that Amala Paul was likely to pair up with Rajinikanth. She shares a good relationship with Dhanush after working with in him in his home productions like "Velaiyilla Pattathari" and "Amma Kanakku" and this factor helped her bag the flick.
The upcoming movie was announced last week and this is the first movie of Rajinikanth being produced by his multifaceted son-on-law Dhanush. The film marks the second reunion of Pa Ranjith and Rajinikanth after their recently-released "Kabali."
Initially, it was believed that they were collaborating for a "Kabali" sequel. But the latest reports say that they are teaming up for a new project.
