Pa Ranjith has decided to continue with his trusted music director for his next movie starring Rajinikanth. Yes, Santhosh Narayanan has been signed up to score the music for the upcoming movie.
Santhosh Narayanan is said to have signed on the dotted lines and he is now officially on board. The movie is produced by actor Dhanush, who happens to be Rajinikanth's son-in-law.
Santhosh Narayanan has been Pa Ranjith's favourite music composer. He scored the music for all the all three movies of the director, including Rajinikanth's Kabali, which had quite a few good numbers, including Neruppu Da and Maya Nadhi.
Also, Santhosh Narayanan's background score in Kabali received rave reviews. All this has made the audience nurture high expectations from him again.
Coming to the latest film, the shooting is expected to start this month. The movie will mostly be shot in Mumbai. The story is apparently inspired by late Mumbai-based Tamil don Mirza Haji Mastan, who stood up for the cause of the Tamils in the commercial capital in the '80s.
Bollywood film Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai was also inspired by Mirza Haji Mastan's life.
The cast and crew members are yet to be announced. The names of many big actresses, from Deepika Padukone to Vidya Balan and Nayanthara to Amala Paul, have been linked to this project. But the makers have remained light-lipped so far.
