Tamil audience are in for a treat as a couple of big movies are set to be released in the next two months. While "Theri" will be the biggest release in the month of April, Rajinikanth's "Kabali" is expected to take away all the attention in May. The latest buzz is that Simbu is joining the race with his two movies – "Idhu Namma Aalu" and "Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada," which is likely to clash with the Tamil superstar's flick.
"Kabali" was supposed to release May 1, however, the movie has been delayed due to the forthcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections, which is scheduled to be held in May. There is a belief in the film industry that people would not be interested to watch films during the election as they will be more curious about politics.
Hence, the delay in "Kabali" release has not come as a surprise. Now, the makers are planning to release the film either in the last week of May or June.
On the other hand, the makers of "Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada" too have decided to release the film in the last week of May, which means Simbu's flick will be clashing with Rajinikanth's film.
However, industry insiders feel that the makers of "Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada" might change their plans if the release date of "Kabali" is confirmed as a clash with the Rajinikanth-starrer will not help Simbu's film in anyway.
"Kabali" is an action movie, written and directed by Pa Ranjith. It tells the story of an underworld don. Radhika Apte plays the female lead in the movie.
"Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada" is written and directed by Gautham Menon. Manjima Mohan has played the female lead in the action-romantic film.
