Reports of Rajinikanth's 2.0, which is popularly known as Enthiran 2, being affected by the Vardah Cyclone are not true. The shooting of the movie is progressing as scheduled in Chennai.
A source from the sets has told Behindwoods that the shooting of 2.0 is happening in a set erected inside EVP Film City. No major damages have hit the team except for a couple of equipment placed outside the sets have been destructed due to the storm.
This had no impact on the film unit as the 2.0 crew continued to work on the film like usual. The latest schedule will be wrapped up on 19 December.
The cyclone had brought Chennai to a standstill. According to reports, 18 people died and normal lives were badly affected after rain accompanied by high-speed wind lashed the city last week. Over 10,000 trees have been uprooted and crores of private and public properties have been damaged.
It was speculated that the shooting of 2.0 was halted after the set was damaged by the cyclone.
Coming to the shooting part, it was kick-started on 16 December and the movie unit will be reportedly celebrating the commencement of the filming in a simple way on the sets on Friday.
Recently, Rajinikanth suffered a knee injury on the sets of his upcoming movie 2.0. The incident occurred while he was filming an action sequence. The actor was immediately taken to a nearby hospital.
