Tamil superstar Rajinikanth will not dance at the sangeet ceremony of his friend Mohan Babu's son Manchu Manoj, who is set to tie the knot with his girlfriend Pranathi Reddy on 20 May.
It was rumoured recently that Rajinikanth would attend the sangeet ceremony of Manchu Manoj and also dance on the occasion, but a source close to Mohan Babu family has denied it.
"There's no confirmation about Rajini dancing at Manoj's sangeet and none of the family members have made a statement about it. It's all baseless rumours," The Times of India quoted the source as saying.
Another source close to Rajinikanth has also denied the possibility of the superstar dancing on the occasion. "There is no possibility of Rajini dancing at the sangeet. When he hasn't danced for his daughters' weddings, the possibility of him dancing at Manoj's wedding is slim," the second source told TOI.
Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu have been buddies ever since they started their acting career. They have maintained good relations for decades and its strong even now. Rajini always visits Mohan Babu at his house, whenever he goes to Hyderabad. The same practice has been maintained by Mohan Babu too.
The Tamil superstar has played cameo role in "Pedarayudu", which featured Mohan Babu in double roles, and he did it free for his friend. The movie was a remake of Tamil film "Nattamai". Besides acting, Mohan Babu also produced the film. Apart from making a guest appearance, Rajini helped his friend in obtaining the remake rights.
It is pertinent to recall here that Mohan Babu had revealed a wish at the trailer launch of "Vikramasimha". The Telugu actor had said he wanted to become a close relative of Rajini by marrying one of his sons to one of Rajini's daughters. Rajinikanth's wife Latha was also well aware of his wish. But his wish did not materialize.
