Superstar Rajinikanth has thanked his fans and well-wishers all over the world for making his latest release, "Kabali", a great success. The actor expressed his gratitude to all his supporters through a handwritten letter, written in Tamil, on the letter pad of Rajinikanth.
The letter has gone viral on social media with his fans sharing it extensively. In the letter, Rajinikanth has stated that he was taking rest in the U.S for a month after working tirelessly for director Shankar's "2.0" and director Pa. Ranjith's "Kabali."
"After returing to India, I could witness the success of 'Kabali' in the country. I would like to thank the film's producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, all the co-artistes, theatre owners, distributors and the audience for the success of the film," the actor added in the letter. Rajinikanth came back to Chennai on Sunday, July 24 after a month long vacation in the U.S.
However, there seems to be a minor mistake in the letter, but netizens state that it cannot be called as an error since it is written by the superstar. The letter has been dated 26. 07. 2017, and social media users have been saying that only Rajini can write a letter one year ahead of time.
Meanwhile, despite garnering mixed response, the gangster thriller has made a gross collection of more than Rs. 211 crore during its opening weekend (3 days) at the worldwide box offices. The Pa. Ranjith-directed film is set to become one of the biggest grossers of the superstar and stars Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Winston Chao and Kishore, in key roles.
