Rajinikanth has given a thumbs up to Sivakarthikeyan's latest movie Remo. The makers of the film had reportedly organised a special show for the Kabali actor.
The news of Rajinikanth praising Remo has been formally revealed by producer RD Raja himself on Twitter. Sharing his excitement, he posted, "After watching Remo @superstarrajini sir called me and @Siva_Kartikeyan n congratulate usHe likes Remo very much and praised a lot1/2 [sic]"
He continued, "As an ardent fan of Rajini Sir it's a great Acknowledgement and Achievement in my life time for all the hard work. Thank u very much sir. 2. [sic]"
Rajinikanth is known for appreciating good works and it has not come as a surprise to see the superstar praising Remo, which has already been declared a hit at the box office.
Remo was released on October 7 and opened to fairly positive reviews. The movie made a collection of Rs 6.3 crore on its opening day. The good content backed by fantastic performance by Sivakarthikeyan attracted youth and family audience, thereby doing a record Rs 21 crore business during the first weekend. The holiday season also helped the flick to enjoy good viewership as it registered Rs 42.1 crore in 10 days at the Tamil Nadu box office.
As per trade reports, the movie has given good profits to the producer as well as distributors and exhibitors. The Tamil film has also done well at the overseas box office.
Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh's Remo is a romantic-comedy directed by Bhagyaraj Kannan and produced by RD Raja. The film has Anirudh Ravichander's music, PC Sreeram's cinematography and Ruben's editing. Keerthy Suresh is the female lead in the film, which has Sathish, KS Ravikumar, Saranya Ponvannan, Rajendran, Yogi Babu, Aadukalam Naren and others in supporting roles.
