Rajinikanth may have downplayed his political entry in his speech at the fans' meet on Monday, May 15, but it has not stopped people from reading his comments between the lines. Political observers are of the opinion that he is testing the waters to understand the people's pulse. In spite of Rajini's clarification, an astrologer has predicted that the superstar will take a plunge into politics soon.
An astrologer named Shelvi has told Asianet Newsable that the stage is being set for Rajinikanth's political entry. He claims that the superstar is likely to launch his own party with the money that he earned from his movies and Rajini will not encourage any funds from the third parties.
In astrological terms, Rajinikanth is going through 'shani dasha' which has made him hesitant about announcing his political decisions. This period will come to an end soon paving way for Rajini to take a plunge into politics. "The coming years augur well for his entry into politics. Henceforth, we will see him translating his words into deeds," the website quotes Shelvi as saying.
Rajinikanth's political entry has been a mystery for decades now. Since his accidental brush in 1996, the superstar has kept himself away from joining or supporting any party in politics. It has not prevented political parties that include the BJP and Congress from wooing the Enthiran star to join their parties.
However, Rajinikanth on Monday has clarified that he will not join any party, hinting that he will float a new party if at all he enters politics.
The actor claims that his current focus is on acting and not politics. "Some people have wanted to become MLAs and politicians and have been using me to make money. God willing, if I ever decide to join politics I will do it for the welfare of people and not to make money. As of now, god wants me to become an actor, and I am happy with that," Firstpost quoted the actor as saying.
