The South film industry is currently buzzing with many rumours and speculations about Rajinikanth's upcoming movies. The latest we heard is that Rajinikanth is looking forward to be part of the remake of the hit Malayalam movie, "Bhaskar The Rascal", which starred Mammootty and Nayanathara in the lead roles.
Reports had claimed that Rajinikanth was impressed with film directed by Siddhique, who is popular in Tamil industry for movies like "Friends" and "Kaavalan".
Rumours about the superstar being part of the remake gained momentum after Tamil remake rights of "Bhaskar The Rascal" was obtained by SS Durairaj. There were reports that Durairaj is trying to get the dates of a big star for the movie, but there is no official confirmation regarding this yet.
However, sources close to Rajinikanth claim that the superstar is not looking forward to be part of any remakes. Reports are that he is currently focusing on original scripts and will currently go ahead with his next with Pa Ranjith, who is known for his movies like "Attakathi" and "Madras".
The upcoming movie is also not short of rumours as the star cast of the film is yet to be revealed. There were rumours that makers are considering Nayanthara to be lead in the movie. The actress had earlier been part of Rajinikanth movies like "Chandramukhi" and "Kuselan".
Reports claim that superstar has given a total of 45 days for Pa Ranjith film and will reportedly play the role of an aged gangster in the upcoming movie. The other crews of the upcoming movie include G Murali as cinematographer, Praveen KL as editor and Santhosh Narayanan for directing music.
Reports are that Santhosh Narayanana has already composed some interesting music for the Rajinikanth movie, and at the same time, he is making sure to deliver his best for the superstar.
The untitled film will reportedly be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under the banner of Kaliapuli Films International and the makers are planning the movie as a Pongal 2016 release.
