Rajinikanth, who has been busy with the shooting of his upcoming movie Kaala Karikaalan, will return to Chennai on Wednesday, June 7. The actor is said to be taking a short break from the filming and has plans to meet his fans again.
The reports in the Tamil media indicate that Rajinikanth is planning to make his fans club stronger and will be holding an interaction again at a unconfirmed date shortly. The Tamil superstar is likely to announce his political plans once he takes the views from his well-wishers. Some unconfirmed reports say that Rajini will make it official in July.
His meetings are closely watched by his rivals and other political parties. Especially, the political observers are eagerly waiting to see whether Rajinikanth will join the Bharatiya Janata Party, which has been trying to woo him to its fold for years now.
However, Rajinikanth has kept his plans under wraps and has indicated that he would prefer to float a new party than joining any existing party.
Nonetheless, Rajinikanth's plan to enter politics has apparently become a reason to worry for all the political parties which have been trying to rip him apart using his non-Tamilan identity. The surprising part of the story is that people from his own fraternity, including his friends like Bharathiraaja and Sarath Kumar, have spoken against his entry to politics.
The Tamil superstar's political dreams took birth following the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and the bad state of political affairs in the state. He gave a hint about his entry last month at a fans' meeting.
