Vijay's 59th movie is likely to be launched on Friday, 26 June, by Tamil superstar Rajinikanth.
There are reports that Rajinikanth has given his consent to attend the muhurat function of the Kalaipuli S Dhanu production, tentatively titled "Vijay 59". Kalaipuli is also producing Rajini's next film.
So, it was easy for Kalaipuli S Dhanu to request Rajinikanth to agree to the film launch.
Kalaipuli is producing Rajini's next film to be directed by Pa Ranjith. It will take off in August and a major part of the shooting will be done in Malaysia.
The upcoming "Vijay 59" will have its muhurat function at Kerala House in ECR, Chennai. The complete guest list has not been revealed yet. Vijay, who has been holidaying with his family members, will return to Chennai on Thursday evening.
The Vijay starrer has been directed by Atlee Kumar of "Raja Rani" fame. It may be recalled that the director's debut film was also launched at the same venue. Hence, it is believed that the director considers it a special place.
The movie will be a great opportunity for young Atlee Kumar, as rarely does a filmmaker gets an opportunity to direct an A-list actor in his second film.
"Vijay 59" has Samantha and Amy Jackson in the female lead roles. It is said to be an action movie in which Ilayathalapathy plays a cop. GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer and he has already completed recording two songs.
