Vikram Prabhu's "Ivan Vera Mathiri" ("He is Different") has been getting positive reviews from all quarters.
The film seems to have impressed superstar Rajinikanth, who is all praise for the commercial entertainer. The actor was awestruck by the film's climax scene after watching it in a special show and even shared the same view in a letter to the film's unit.
"I saw Ivan Vera Maadhiri which is a class action film. The never before seen action sequences in the climax have really astounded me. It is a good entertainer and I wish the film all success," superstar mentioned in the letter, according to Behindwoods.
"Ivan Vera Mathiri", a romantic thriller flick, is directed by Saravanan of "Engeyum Eppodhum" fame. The film is Vikram Prabhu's second project after the super-successful "Kumki", which released last year. Unlike "Kumki", Vikram appears in the role of a city-bred youth in "Ivan Vera Mathiri." The film's story revolves around an individual who turns into a vigilante to fight against injustice. Although the plot is old, the way director has presented the film has gained real applaud.
"Ivan Vera Mathiri" received positive reviews from critics as well as from the audience. The film, which released on 13 December, has performed decently at the box office. However, its second weekend business (20-22 December) might get affected due to new releases in Tamil as well as other language films.
Karthi's "Biriyani" and Jiiva's "Endrendrum Punnagai" hit the screens on 20 December. Both the films received positive response from critics and they are expected to take a good opening in its first weekend. Moreover, Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" has been getting tremendous reception from fans and the film is expected to have a fantastic opening weekend in south India.
The release of new films would not only reduce the screen count for "Ivan Vera Mathiri", but its collections are likely to drop as well.
