Udhayanidhi Stalin's "Manithan," which was released on Friday, April 29, has been praised by none other than Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. He saw the movie at a special screening organised by the makers of the film on Saturday, April 30.
The news was revealed by Udhayanidhi Stalin on his Twitter account. He wrote: "Got a call from #superâï¸ ! He saw #Manithan lasnite! He congratulated the whole team for selecting this script! A proud fan moment for me. [sic]"
The good wishes from Rajinikanth are expected to boost the collection of "Manithan." The Tamil film has garnered positive response from the critics as well. It has done decent business on the opening day and is expected to do well in the weekend, considering the good word-of-mouth.
Actress and politician Khushbu Sundar has revealed on Twitter that her family has also seen the Tamil flick and they have liked it. "I m yet 2 see d #Manithan but my kids n family loved it .dey say a cmplte entertainer n @Udhaystalin is at his best..BO is rocking 2, [sic]" she tweeted.
"Manithan," which has been directed by I Ahmed, is a remake of the Hindi film "Jolly LLB." The story is about the clash between a sincere lawyer and a senior advocate. How the courageous youngster wins a case against the powerful man forms the crux of the story.
Hansika Motwani plays the female lead in "Manithan," which has the likes of Prakash Raj, Radha Ravi, Vivekh, Aishwarya Rajesh, Angana Roy and Krishna Kumar in the cast.
Udhayanidhi Stalin's natural performance and Prakash Raj's strong screen presence are the two highlights of "Manithan," which has good content that is being enjoyed by all section of the audience.
