Superstar Rajinikanth is known for appreciating the good work of those who belong to his industry. The latest news is that the superstar called "OK Kanmani" director Mani Ratnam and appreciated him for his work.
Reports have it that Rajinikanth was bowled by the way Mani Ratnam has crafted his romantic tale "OK Kanmani".
Apparently, the superstar is also impressed with AR Rahman, who composed the music, cinematographer, and the lead actors Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen.
Rajinikanth has worked with Mani Ratnam in the movie "Thalapathi" along with Mammootty, who is father of "OK Kanmani" hero Dulquer.

Recently Rajinikanth made headlines when he called "Kanchana 2" director and lead actor Raghava Lawrence to wish them luck after seeing the posters of the movie. In return, Raghava had arranged a special screening of his latest movie at Rajini's home.
Meanwhile, Mani Ratnam's movie "OK Kanmani" has been flooded with wishes from across the world. The movie, which is doing extremely well at the box office, opened to rave reviews from critics as well as celebrities.
Recently, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan watched the flick at a special screening held in Mumbai. The actor later wrote on his blog that the movie is sweet and endearing.
"Fresh and with a sense of the changing times, in keeping with the sensibilities of this generation, it shows compassion and example with great dexterity. Values are not lost in the practices that this generation may desire, but sufficient understanding on both parts is beautifully portrayed by two young performers who play the lead," wrote Bachchan.
"OK Kanmani" which is creating waves around the world is now touted to be one of the classic romantic tales by Mani Ratnam.
