Superstar Rajinikanth has cancelled his 65th birthday celebration following the devastating flood in Chennai. He has also asked his fans to concentrate on the relief work.
Sources have said that Rajinikanth was supposed to celebrate his 65th birthday in a grand manner like every year and his fans association had big plans for the day. But as Chennai struggles to get back to normalcy after incessant rains wrecked havoc, the superstar feels that it is not the time to celebrate the occasion. Hence, he has cancelled all the plans.
Rajinikanth also told the heads of his fans association that the only way they can make the day special is by indulging in relief work. Sources claim that the launch of his forthcoming movie "Endhiran 2" has also been postponed, which was supposed to coincide with his birthday celebration on 12 December.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has donated Rs 10 lakh towards Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Raghavendra Mandapam is also working relentlessly by providing food and shelter for the needy. His son-in-law Dhanush has contributed Rs 5 lakh for the victims.
On the other hand, Rajinikanth has completed the latest shooting schedule of his forthcoming film "Kabali" held in Malaysia. The superstar plays the role of an underworld don in the flick and Radhika Apte plays the female lead in the film directed by Pa Ranjith.
After completing this movie, Rajinikanth will begin "Endhiran 2" directed by Shankar. It is likely to begin mid of 2016 and go on for a year.
