Sivakarthikeyan is the latest celebrity to sing praises of Ajith. The actor, who is basking in the success of his latest film "Rajini Murugan", has opened up about his meeting that happened 1.5 years ago.
During a promotional interview of "Rajini Murugan", Sivakarthikeyan recalled his meeting with Ajith and said one should learn to be self-confident from Thala. The meeting remains an unforgettable experience that lasted for four hours, said the actor.
Talking about Ajith's popularity, Sivakarthikeyan said a single mention of Ajith in films drives the audience crazy in cinema halls, and people can witness viewers' applause for 10 minutes without a break these days.
During the meeting, Sivakarthikeyan learnt Ajith has not let such popularity go to his head, and continues to be humble and simple. The actor says he had not revealed the experience all this while as he was not keen on using his name for publicity.
The "Maan Karate" star said he was impressed with the way Ajith completed the shooting of "Vedalam" despite getting injured. He pointed out Thala had suffered a few injuries earlier as well, but it did not affect his work. This dedication makes him a role model for not just cine-industry people but also to those outside cinema.
Meanwhile, "Rajini Murugan" has got a flying start at the box office. The movie has been liked by the family audience for its commercial content. It has performed better than other Pongal releases like "Gethu", "Thara Thappattai" and "Kathakali".
As per the buzz, "Rajini Murugan" has collected Rs 19.5 crore in the four-day weekend in Tamil Nadu and about Rs 97 lakh in Chennai alone. The film is all set to become the first hit of 2016.
