Ajith's new film directed by Gautham Menon is said to be full of surprises. The untitled flick called as "Thala 55" by Ajith's fans has been making news since its announcement. The latest update on the film is that Rajasimman, who is known for his role in Sasikumar's "Kuttipuli" will play the villain role opposite Ajith.
"Thala 55" is expected to be an action thriller and Ajith is reportedly playing the role of an investigative officer in it. Rumour mills also suggest that he will be seen in double role in the film.
Ajith and Menon have joined for this untitled film after a long wait of 11 years. The duo was supposed to join for the super hit film "Kakha Kakha" (2003). For some reasons, the film was later done by Suriya.
Not much about this highly expected film is out. But the Twitter updates from Dan Macarthur, the cinematographer of the film, suggest that the second schedule of the film is completed.

The shooting of the film which began in 11 April near VGP Universal Kingdom in Chennai has Anushka Shetty in the lead actress role. This is the first time Shetty is pairing up with Thala. The film also has Trisha Krishnan in the lead role and this will be the fourth time Ajith and Trisha will be seen together. They had earlier done films like "Mankatha", "Kireedom" and "Ji" together. The film will also have Arun Vijay, son of veteran film actor Vijayakumar in an important role. Apart from them, Vivek is also a part of the film. He is joining Menon after 13 years since "Minnale" in 2001, which was Menon's first film as a director.
The film has six songs and is composed by Harris Jayaraj. The composer have earlier done songs for Menon's films like "Minnale", "Rehna Hai Teri Dil Mein", "Kaakha Kaakha", "Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu" and "Pachaikili Muthucharam".
The film is produced by AM Rathnam and will be distributed by Eros International. "Thala 55" is expected to release in the month of November.
