Director S S Rajamouli and his scriptwriter father K V Vijayendra Prasad have set the box office on fire with their latest release "Baahubali". At the same time, the duo is equally happy about the Salman Khan starrer, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", which has become a big money-spinner.
Though Vijayendra Prasad is known as one of the scriptwriters of Rajamouli's "Baahubali", very few are aware of the fact that he has also written the script for "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", which hit the theatres on July 17, just a week after the release of "Baahubali".
Salman Khan's movies usually become hits more because of the actor's charisma and stardom than for their story. "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is an exception and is receiving laurels for its emotional content.
While critics and viewers alike continue to credit the success of the film to Vijayendra Prasad, director Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) was effusive in praise of the writer. On July 17, RGV, who has been gung-ho about "Baahubali", took to his Twitter page to talk about "Baahubali" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan". The controversial filmmaker could not stop praising Rajamouli and Vijayendra Prasad and lauded them for the success of both films.
Here are RGV's series of Twitter comments:
Must be first in history a father and son set the box office on fire within a week..SS with Bahubali and his father with Bajrangi Bhaijan
For the first time in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" a Salman Khan film's story is being talked about nd credit goes to Rajmouli's dad Vijendra prasad
He wrote two super duper blockbusters Bajrangi Bhaijan and Bahubali and both released within one week..Kudos to Vijayendra Prasad
