The monsoon finally arrived in Kerala on Friday, bringing much joy to Indians, who took to social media to welcome the rains.
The India Meteorological Department declared the onset of monsoon over Kerala on Friday, which arrived after a delay of five days.
The rains are also expected to reach other parts of the country in the next 48 hours, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, some parts of Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of central and northern Bay of Bengal, and southern parts of the northeastern states, according to the forecast of weather department.
