Congress president Rahul Gandhi is in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a two-day visit ahead of the Lok Sabha elections as a part of his global outreach programme.
The 48-year-old had arrived in Dubai on Thursday evening and was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of Indian expats gathered outside the airport.
On Friday morning, Rahul Gandhi went to a labour camp in Jebel Ali to interact with Indian workers. He will now meet Indian businessmen, professionals and students living in the UAE, and attend an interactive session organised by Indian Business and Professional Council in Dubai.
Rahul Gandhi will also be the chief guest at a cultural meeting of Indian expats at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. He will talk about the Idea of India on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary celebrations.
He will further speak about the issues faced by Non-Resident Indian's and give them assurance about what he can do to resolve their issues.

While addressing the workers he said that the success and progress of the UAE and Dubai Metro would not have been possible without the contribution of the hardworking Indians. He thanked everyone for their contribution to the betterment of the country.
