Raghava Lawrence, who is a self-confessed fan of Rajinikanth, is all set to remake a classic movie of the Tamil superstar. Yes, he is gearing up to recreate the magic of Moondru Mugam.
According to reports, Raghava Lawrence is getting ready to remake Moondru Mugam. The outline of the story is expected to remain same, while the body of the story will be tweaked to suit the tastes of the modern-day audience.
Late A Jagannathan had directed Moondru Mugam in which Rajinikanth was seen in triple roles of a ruthless cop Alex Pandian, a rich man named Arun and localite John. The superstar's stylish avatars backed by his performance with well-written screenplay remained the major highlight of the Tamil movie.
The success of Moondru Mugam had paved the way for its remakes in other languages like Hindi (John Jani Janardhan), Telugu (Mugguru Monagallu) and Kannada (Gedda Maga).
The latest movie will be produced by Raghava Lawrence himself along with Jigarthanda fame S Kathiresan. The complete cast and crew are yet to be finalised.

Meanwhile, Raghava Lawrence is busy with other projects as well. The actor is currently working on Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva. Sai Ramani-directorial film has Nikki Galrani in the female lead, Sathyaraj, Ashutosh Rana, Vamsi Krishna, Jayaprakash, Kovai Sarala and others are in the cast. It is a remake of Telugu hit film Pataas, which starred Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Shruti Sodhi in the leads.
Raghava Lawrence's another project is Shivalinga, which is the remake of Kannada hit movie of the same name. P Vasu's film has Ritika Singh in the female lead role.
