Raees has been delayed for over a year majorly because of Shah Rukh Khan's injuries. The superstar was shooting until the night before the trailer was released. However, he isn't the only one working last minute.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays the tough cop in this Rahul Dholakia-directed film, has to shoot a few scenes. He told the media he is yet to wrap up the crime-thriller.
"I have yet to finish my scenes in 'Raees'. In fact, I was shooting just two days back and the way he (SRK) helped and responded to those scenes was amazing. When you work with him it doesn't feel like that he has this huge stardom. On sets he's an actor," Siddiqui told the media.
Scheduled to be released on January 25, same day as Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil, Raees has been flirting with trouble for quite some time now.
Even though Shah Rukh has met MNS Chief Raj Thackeray and assured him that he will not work with Pakistan-based artistes in the future, there have been rumours that the superstar has secretly shot a few sequences with Pakistan's Mahira Khan in Dubai. Apparently, the team filmed the scenes discreetly for over three days, after which SRK returned to India to promote Dear Zindagi.
"She wanted either a well-fleshed out role like the story originally had, or nothing at all. She wasn't okay with a superfluous part like Fawad's in ADHM. Though the makers tried to reason with her, they eventually conceded that she doesn't deserve a raw deal. It was a deliberate move to feature her prominently in the trailer too," Mid-Day quoted a source as saying.
