Latest buzz in the Telugu film industry is that the release of Jr JTR's "Rabhasa" has been delayed. The film was slated to hit the screens on 15 August, but now reports suggest that the Jr NTR starrer will be releasing on 29 August for the Ganesh Chaturthi weekend.
Earlier there were rumours doing the rounds that "Rabhasa" will not make it to theatres on 15 August. Though the film's producer Bellamkonda Suresh had confirmed that it will hit screens on the scheduled date, latest buzz suggest that the release has been postponed due to theatre issues.
However, an official announcement on the film's exact release date is expected to be made soon.
If "Rabhasa" hits the screens on 29 August, the film will be locking horns with Ravi Teja's upcoming film "Power." The mass action entertainer, directed by KS Ravindra (Bobby), is one of the most-awaited films of 2014. "Power" is expected to give tough competition to "Rabhasa" at the box office.
Directed by Santhosh Srinivas, "Rabhasa" has Jr NTR, Samantha and Pranitha Subash of "Attarintiki Daredi" fame in lead roles. The film also has Seetha, Jayasudha, Nassar and Brahmanandam in supporting roles.
"Rabhasa" shooting has been completed and the post-production work is going on full swing. Recently, the audio launch of "Rabhasa" was held in a grand manner. The film's music is composed by Thaman and there are five songs in the album. One of them titled "Raakhasi Raakhasi" has been rendered by Jr NTR and it has received fantastic response from fans.
Thaman is busy with the film's re-recording, which is in the final stages. While he has completed the re-recording for the first half, the work on the second half is going on at a brisk pace, reported 123telugu.
"Rabhasa" trailer was also released during the audio launch function and fetched positive reviews from the fans. The film, touted to be a family drama, will have all the commercial elements one would expect in a Jr NTR starrer.
A lot is riding on "Rabhasa" as it is Jr NTR's film. The actor's last release "Ramayya Vastavayya" failed to set the cash registers ringing. Fans would expect nothing short of a hit from the young tiger of Telugu cinema.
"Rabhasa" is carrying positive pre-release buzz, but it needs to seen whether the film will be able impress the audience and fare well at the box office.
