Jr NTR's "Rabhasa" is gearing up for a grand release on Friday (29 August). The film is expected to be released in more than 1,200 screens worldwide.
With the NTR starrer releasing in a good number of screens, the film is expected to take a fantastic opening at the box office. Trade experts will be eager to see whether the film breaks a few records on the opening day.
NTR's last-year releases "Baadshah" and "Ramayya Vastavayya" ("RV") opened well on the first day and are listed among the top 10 films with highest day one AP/Nizam share.
"Baadshah" earned ₹9.25 crore on the first day, while "RV" raked in ₹8.7 crore, according to Andhraboxoffice.
Analysts will be keen to know if "Rabhasa" surpasses the opening day collections of "Baadshah".
As the NTR starrer is releasing on a public holiday (Ganesh Chathurthi), the film might get grand openings on the first day provided the public response is positive.
"Rabhasa" is carrying positive pre-release buzz and the presence of NTR will ensure its big opening. However, it remains to be seen as to how the film fares post the first day. The long weekend is expected to work in the film's favour and help boost its opening weekend business.
The film is touted to be a family drama laced with loads of action.
Brahmanandam's comedy is said to be one of the highlights of "Rabhasa." The film's teaser, trailer and the songs have been a huge hit among the audience. Whether the film's content will impress the audience or not is something one needs to wait and watch.
"Rabhasa" received an "A" certificate from the censor board. Interestingly, the film's makers have trimmed 15 minutes of its content after all the formalities by the censor board. Initially, the action entertainer had a run time of 2 hours 30 minutes and it has now been reduced to 2 hours 15 minutes.
Directed by Santhosh Srinivas, "Rabhasa" has Samantha and Pranitha as the female leads. It is Samantha's third film with NTR, and it will be Pranitha's first film with the young tiger of Telugu cinema.
The film is produced by Bellamkonda Suresh and the music is composed by Thaman.
