Another South Indian actress is foraying into Bollywood. Raai Laxmi has joined the sets of Murugadoss next Hindi flick "Akira" starring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead.
Raai, who is quite excited about her upcoming flick shared the news through her Twitter account and said that she could not have asked for a better start in Bollywood.
She will appear in a guest role. The actress also shared a photo of hers with director Anurag Kashyap who is also acting in the movie.
The movie will also see Sonakshi's father, actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha in a pivotal role.
"Akira" is touted to be an emotional woman-centric thriller that has a strong social message. The story of the movie focuses on one of the major issues which India currently faces – women's safety.
Sonakshi reportedly will play an intense character who is forced to fight back when pushed to the limits of patience. The actress will do some high-end action sequences in the flick.
"Akira" is being produced by Fox Star Studios, which had also bankrolled Murugadoss's last Bollywood venture "Holiday" starring Akshay Kumar.
