Sushant Singh Rajput-Kriti Sanon's Raabta, which collected a decent amount at the domestic box office on Friday, June 9, continued to remain steady through the first weekend.
Although film did not register growth in the first weekend, it remained steady in its collection. The re-incarnation drama raked in Rs. 5.21 crore at the domestic box office on its third day (first Sunday). Its first-weekend collection at the Indian box office now stands at Rs. 15.93 crore nett. "#Raabta Fri 5.61 cr, Sat 5.11 cr, Sun 5.21 cr. Total: ₹ 15.93 cr. India biz," Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
With this, the film has crossed Rs. 15 crore mark on its first weekend. The negative reviews and poor word-of-mouth publicity have affected the film's business.
On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao-Shruti Haasan's film Behen Hogi Teri, which clashed at the box office with Raabta, failed to attract viewers to the theatres, despite having received slightly better reviews than Sushant's film.
On the opening day, Ajay K Pannalal's directorial minted about Rs. 0.35 crore, while the romantic comedy witnessed a jump on Saturday and collected Rs. 0.45 crore (approximately), Box Office India reported. On Sunday (Day 3), the film managed to garner Rs. 0.5 crore at the domestic market. The total Indian box office collection of Behen Hogi Teri now stands at Rs 1.3 crore nett (approximately).
Rajkummar Rao's Behen Hogi Teri is a small town love story of Gattu, a Lucknow resident, and his childhood crush on Punjabi neighbour Binny, played by Shruti.
