"Well begun is half done," goes a saying. Shah Rukh Khan's sci-fi flick "Ra.One" witnessed a very good opening at the box office.
Sources said that though morning shows started as early as 7 a.m., yet there was 95 to 100 percent occupancy. And the shows after 9 a.m. reported full houses in both multiplexes and single screens.
Trade analysts are of the opinion that the film would collect over Rs 22 crore on the opening day itself. Its Hindi version is expected to earn over Rs 20 crore and its Tamil and Telugu versions would collect over Rs 2 crore.
Having released in over 3,000 theatres in India alone and some multiplexes showing as many as 30 shows on the opening day, its box office collection has to be huge.
Film lovers thronged the theatres in spite of inflated ticket rates. Trade pundits are of the opinion that the movie will earn around Rs 100 crore in the first five days.
