"R... Rajkumar" has succeeded in emerging as an impressive entertainer among the audiences who enjoyed the film. The masala entertainer has crossed ₹50-crore mark at worldwide box office in just six days.
The film is going strong at domestic box offices and is also expected to dominate the big screen in its second week.
The action masala flick starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha will start suffering adverse effects only after the release of much awaited film "Dhoom 3" which is scheduled to hit screens on 20 December 2013.
As per early estimates the film has made a total collection of around ₹4 crore on Wednesday taking its overall total earnings to around ₹45 crore.
Single screens are performing extremely well, but the multiplexes remained dull. Overall, the performance of the film is good. Average number of screens and normal ticket prices at theaters were the reason for the average earning.
The film is performing well in India, but in overseas market the response is poor. In its opening weekend the film raked in around ₹6 crore. Now, the worldwide total of the film has crossed the half century mark.
Meanwhile, the director of the film Prabhu Deva is speechless by audience response.
"Isn't this what that matters at the end of the day. My producers (Eros) are happy, my actors (Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Sonu Sood) are happy and then a common man has come and said something good to me by picking on the nuances that even I as a filmmaker didn't think of consciously. These are good enough reasons to be content with the film," the director told Bollywood Hungama.
