Shahid Kapoor starrer "R... Rajkumar" had a fantastic two week run at collection centers, but the collections of the film will be adversely affected after the release of "Dhoom 3" this Friday, which will certainly take away the audience.
"R... Rajkumar" directed by Prabhu Deva has remained the top earner at the box office even in its second week. Like other films, the business of "R... Rajkumar" also declined in second week, but it managed to fetch in decent amount.
However, the release of Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3" will end the dream run of "R... Rajkumar".
Despite being labelled several times by critics as the worst film of the year, "R... Rajkumar" managed to sail smoothly due to audiences support.
"R... Rajkumar" has taken its 13 days total to more than ₹62 crore making it a hit film. On Friday (20 December), the action masala entertainer will enter its third week. Generally, the business of the film falls drastically when it enters the third week and only manages to fare well if there is no big release, but in case of "R... Rajkumar" the film will face competition from one of the biggest releases of the year.
Looking at the pre-booking occupancy of "Dhoom 3", it is certain that the film will have a massive opening on first day across the country. "Dhoom 3" has the highest number of screen count with more than 4500 screens in India. The highest number of screens will affect screen count of "R...Rajkumar". [Read the report here]
