It is known that Zee TV's popular show "Qubool Hai" is taking a 20-year leap and lead actor Karanvir Bohra (Aahil) has decided to quit.
Post the leap, the show will have a new story with fresh characters. The only cast members to be retained are Surbhi Jyoti, who plays Sanam, and Additi Gupta.
It has now been revealed that "Beintehaa" actor Harshad Arora will be replacing Karanvir post the generation leap. The actor will be seen romancing Surbhi, who will play the character Mahira.
Talking about the character, Harshad told Bollywood Life: "I play a brooding intense character who is also a loner. This is totally different from Zain (Beintehaa). He is blessed with a special power that comes in handy as the show progresses."
The story will also revolve around a love triangle and the makers are looking for another actor to be cast opposite Surbhi.
Apparently, the makers have come up with a new story as the show's timeslot has been advanced in order retain TRP rating and this makes it necessary to have a fresh plot.
On the other hand, the exit of Karanvir has disapointed fans, who are demanding the makers to retain the hunk on the show.
Considering Karanvir's huge fan base, it looks like it would be a big task for Harshad to live up to viewers' expectations.
