Qiku, the Chinese smartphone brand and a joint venture firm of Qihu 360 Technology and CoolPad Group, is entering the Indian smartphone market.
The company is planning to launch its high-end Qiku Q Terra smartphone on 27 November. The handset has a full metal body and flagship features such as fingerprint scanner.
According to TechTree, the Q Terra smartphone will be available in two variants. There will be a base model powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage and a high-end variant using an octa-core Snapdragon 810 SoC with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory.
Other specifications of the Q Terra seem to be the same for both variants. The Q Terra will come with a massive 6-inch Full HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 386ppi, 13MP primary camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP front snapper with f/2.4 aperture. The rear shooter supports 4K video recording while the front camera will be limited to Full HD shooting, TechTree added.
Qiku places the fingerprint scanner at the rear panel of the phone, just below the camera module. The handset sports dual SIM slots, microSD card slot and support for 4G LTE. A 3,700mAh battery runs the show and supports fast charge technology.
On the software front, the Q Terra runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Qihoo 360 OS that packs additional security features.
