Comedy film "Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2" has opened in theatres with good occupancy.
The low budget film has surprised trade analysts with its morning and afternoon shows occupancy figures of about 20 to 25%. The comedy film is a sequel to the 2011 film "Pyaar Ka Punchnama".
"Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2" started well in North circuits, especially in Delhi-National Capital Region, and it expected to excel in that region.
"Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2" can have an opening of Rs 6+ crore at the domestic box office, if the occupancy remains strong in the evening and night shows. The opening day occupancy of the film is better than "Bombay Velvet", "Piku" and "Katti Batti" in several circuits.
The good opening will ensure that the film will have a good opening weekend as well.
Reviews are mostly positive and since it is a comedy drama, the collection will increase during the weekend.
Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film features Nushrat Bharucha, Sonali Sehgall, Ishita Sharma and lead actor Kartik Aryan reprising their roles in the sequel, while Raayo S Bakhirta and Divyendu Sharma have been replaced by two debutantes Sunny Singh and Omkar Kapoor, respectively.
