Television actress Disha Parmar, who rose to popularity with "Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara," has reportedly bagged the lead role in a new show tentatively titled "Bhaukaal." According to reports, Param Singh of "Sadda Haq" fame has been signed up to play the male lead on the show, which will be aired on Life OK channel.
Saurabh Tewari's "Bhaukaal" will also see Vikkas Manaktala making his comeback to the small screen after a gap of two years. He was last seen on "Main Naa Bhoolungi." The report said that the team including Disha, Param and Vikkas has travelled to Delhi to shoot the pilot episode. "Presently, the team is shooting its pilot in Delhi with the three central faces, Param, Disha and Vikkas," a source told Tellychakkar.com.
While no confirmation has been made by the actress, this piece of news will surely create a flutter of excitement among Disha's fans, who have missed her on screen.
Rumours had recently surfaced that Disha would be making a special appearance in the upcoming show, "Ishqbaaaz." Disha's "Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara" co-star Nakuul Mehta had been brought on board to play one of the three male protagonists in the show. If the rumour turns out to be true, it will surely be a treat for the fans of the on-screen couple, Disha and Nakuul, to see them sharing screen space once again.
Disha was also considered for the role of the grown-up Rani on "Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani," which went through the time jump of a generationlast month. The actress had also taken the screen test but later Mahima Joshi bagged the role of the grown-up Rani. However, it was reported that the makers were not happy with Mahima's portrayal of Rani and later replaced her with Eisha Singh of "Ishq Ka Rang Safed" fame.
