India hotshot PV Sindhu, in a hot form already this calendar year, is keen on making things brighter for her with a good show in the Hong Kong Open badminton 2016. After having bossed the China Open 2016, the 21-year-old is ready to take forward her good showing in the penultimate Badminton World Federation (BWF) tournament of 2016.
Sindhu takes on Indonesia's Susanto Yulia Yosephin in her opening match of the BWF super series on Wednesday at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
So far, the Indians have had a good show in the 2016 edition of the badminton tournament. Saina Nehwal won her first round match against Thailand's Porntip Buranaprasertsuk over three games that lasted for a total of 56 minutes, Ajay Jayaram also won against Indonesia's Anthony Sinisuka Ginting over two games.
Also, Sameer Verma won over Japan's Takuma Ueda over two games, while HS Prannoy won against Bin Qiao of China.
Wednesday, so far, has turned out to be very good for the Indian shuttlers and the highlight of the day remains Sindhu's match. The two have never meet before in the badminton court and as per rankings and form, the Indian has a major edge over the Indonesian in the match.
Prediction: Sindhu (#11) wins over two games against Susanto (#119).
