Mammootty and Nayantara's upcoming Malayalam movie "Puthiya Niyamam" is one of the most awaited projects of the year and many fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of its official trailer.
The makers have announced that they will release the trailer of the flick at 5 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 10. Earlier, on Jan. 29, a teaser video of the flick was released on the YouTube channel of Mammootty and it was well-received by the Kerala audience. It received more than two lakh views within a week of its release. The AK Sajan directorial is scheduled to have a solo release on Friday, Feb. 12, at the Kerala box office.

Mammootty
With megastar Mammootty enjoying a huge fan following in Kerala, every movie of the actor made good business on the opening day. In "Puthiya Niyamam," Mammootty plays the role of Adv. Louis Pothen with communist inclination and in the movie's teaser, he is heard speaking in Thrissur slang of Kerala, reminding us of his role in Ranjith's 2010 movie "Pranchiyettan and the Saint," which is one of the best films of Mammootty till date. Meanwhile, after some flops, his 2015 film "Pathemari," directed by Salim Ahamed, did tremendous business in India and abroad, helping him regain the top spot at the box office.

Nayantara
Even though Nayantara began her acting career in Malayalam movies, she has become one of the busiest actresses in Kollywood with many projects in her kitty. Most of her recent flicks became box office hits and she will be seen in the role of a housewife named Vasuki Iyer married to Adv Louis Pothen (Mammootty), who belongs to a different religion. Looking at the posters and teaser video, Nayantara looks gorgeous in her never-seen-before avatar of a mother.

"Puthiya Niyamam" marks the comeback of the lucky couple Mammootty and Nayantara after Siddique's megahit movie "Bhaskar the Rascal." The chemistry of the couple in the 2015 movie was well appreciated by the audience. The duo has earlier shared screen space in movies "Rappakal" and "Thaskara Veeran" as well. Therefore, their association in the upcoming family entertainer is one of the major highlights of the flick.
Rumours of Arya's cameo role
There have been reports of Tamil actor Arya making a cameo appearance in the AK Sajan directorial, ever since the actor was spotted at the shooting location of the movie during Onam. Arya, who hails from Kerala, also enjoys a huge fan following in Malayalam, and if the rumours are to be believed, it will be Arya's third movie in Malayalam after "Urumi" and "Double Barrel."
AK Sajan
Director AK Sajan has been in the industry since 1992 as a scriptwriter and made his directorial debut with Prithviraj starrer "Stop Violence" in 2002. He is also known for his screenplays in the movies "Drona" (2010), "Red Chillies" (2009), "Chinthamani Kolacase" (2006), "Meenathil Thalikettu" (1998), "Kashmeeram" (1994), "Butterflies" (1993) and "Dhruvam" (1992), which were well accepted by the audience. Therefore, "Puthiya Niyamam" is also expected to be a good entertainer.
