Director Puri Jagannath is rumoured to have ended his partnership with actress-turned-producer Charmme Kaur (Charmi/Chramy). Puri's staff is said to be happy with the development.
Puri Jagannath first teamed up with Charmme Kaur for Amitabh Bachchan's Bollywood movie "Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap" in 2011. Later, they teamed up again for "Jyothi Lakshmi", which marked the debut of the actress as a producer. She went on to produce his next venture "Loafer". Their partnership had fuelled rumours about an alleged relationship between the two.
Charmme Kaur was interfering with Puri Jagannath's deals and she was even said to be managing the people who wanted to meet. The director was not happy with her attitude, when he heard about it. Fed up with her increased involvement, he decided not partner with her for his upcoming movies.
"She had taken control of everything â€" even controlling the list of people wanting to meet him. He came to know of these matters later, and was irked with her attitude. He has also told her she will not be a part of his films," Deccan Chronicle quoted a source as saying.
The staff of Puri Jagannath, who were said to be not happy with her involvement, are very happy with the development. "His staff are all happy with this decision and they are all actually jubilant," the source added.
It should be mentioned here that Charmme Kaur's involvement in Puri's deals has sparked a huge controversy earlier this year. Puri had joined hands with Nithin for a project, which was to be produced by the actor and his father Sudhakar Reddy, but they walked out of the film following Charmme's interference in it.
