After launching production house Dreams N Beyond, Malayalam actor Jayasurya and director Ranjith Sankar announced the launch of their distribution company on Wednesday, June 1. The duo has started Punyalan Cinemas to distribute their movies as well as films they believe in.

The first movie distributed by Punyalan Cinemas will be the sequel of their superhit movie Punyalan Agarbathis. They have hinted that the title of the movie will be revealed soon. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on November 17.
"Dears,A happy news. We(Me and Jayasurya) are launching a distribution company named "Punyalan Cinemas".The idea behind punyalan cinemas is to release our films and others films which we believe in. Our first release punyalan agarbathis part 2(title will be announced soon) will reach you on Nov 17th. A humble step into the big ocean of cinema again. Expect all support! [sic]," Ranjith posted on his Facebook page.
The first outing of Jayasurya and Ranjith was the comedy entertainer Punyalan Agarbattis, and the duo later worked together in Su.. Su... Sudhi Vathmeekam and Pretham. All of them were produced under their home production banner and emerged as superhits. Their last horror thriller went on to become the biggest solo grosser of Jayasurya's career.
