Pulkit Samrat married his long-time girlfriend Shweta Rohira, who is Salman Khan's rakhi sister, on 3 November in an exotic location in Goa.
The lavish wedding was a star-studded affair as several television stars and Bollywood biggies graced the event with their presence.
Salman attended the ceremony to bless the couple along with his actor-producer-director brother Arbaaz Khan and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri. Even "Jai Ho" actress Daisy Shah, producer Ritesh Sidhwani and Elli Abram were among the invitees present at the ceremony.
The "Fukrey" actor who rose to fame with Ekta Kapoor's "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" met the then journalist Rohira who came to interview him on the sets of the daily soap. The interview later turned into friendship and soon both started seeing each other. At present, Rohira, hailing from Mumbai, is an entrepreneur and is running her own boutique.
Salman is known to be close to his rakhi sister, who had tied him the sacred thread ever since she was a child. The superstar, who donned a kurta and turban for the ceremony, surprised everyone when he took the role of a father and performed Rohira's kanyadaan, reported GlamSham.
The actor's kind gesture and brotherly love was highly appreciated by everyone present at the event.
Meanwhile, the "Kick" star is also busy with the wedding preparation of his adopted sister Arpita Khan, daughter of Salman's father Salim Khan and step-mother Helen. The high-profile wedding will take place in a five-star hotel in Hyderabad and has a huge guest list including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
While, the "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" actor took out time from his busy schedule to attend and perform the kanyadaan of Rohira, Boman Irani gave a miss to his adopted daughter and actress Dia Mirza's wedding last month.
Mirza who shares a fatherly relationship with Irani ever since they worked together in Raj Kumar Hirani's "Lage Raho Munnabhai", had invited the actor to her wedding.
Irani who promised the actress to perform her kanyadaan and other duties of a father, considering that Mirza had lost her father a decade ago, gave a miss at the last moment.
Apparently, the actor was busy shooting the promotional video for his upcoming film, "Happy New Year" that has Shah Rukh Khan playing the lead role.
