Going by recent occurrences, Pulkit Samrat doesn't seem to be in a happy space. After almost getting into a tiff with a photographer at Mumbai airport, the actor has now apparently broken hotel furniture.
A SpotboyE report has it that the young star was not too pleased with the way "Junooniyat" promotions were panning out. He believed the producers hadn't spent enough on the campaign.
Pulkit had a heated argument with them, after which he went straight to his hotel room to get ready for an event. While primping, he apparently enquired about the damage costs if a chair or door were to break. He then flung a Maharaja chair across the room, breaking it into pieces. Later, he told the staff to collect the Rs. 50,000 from the producers.
Is this rage coming from his box office failures? The answers are best known to him.
Although Pulkit was mentored by Salman Khan, he didn't quite make it big in the industry. "Bittoo Boss," "O Teri," and "Bangistan" sank without a trace. "Sanam Re" created ripples, but the hype around the film was mostly triggered by his personal life.
Pulkit and wife Shweta Rohira went separate ways roughly eight months ago, but the actor hasn't had the time to file for a divorce. "I had two back-to-back releases, so I didn't have the time to get into legal matters. It's unfortunate that Shweta and I couldn't make our marriage work and had to take the decision of living our lives separately. We are sticking to that," the Times of India quoted him as saying.
His alleged affair with co-star Yami Gautam has become another talking point. However, that relationship too is sailing in choppy waters. Going by recent reports, the actor is miffed with Yami about the intimate scenes she has had to shoot with Hrithik Roshan for "Kaabil."
