Popular online multiplayer battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) for mobiles has been down for maintenance since last night in India and other regions too and as we get closer to end of eight hours break, reports are emerging that the mobile game publisher Tencent Games has a surprise for fans.
The much-awaited major 0.7.0 global stable update, which up until now was under beta testing, will soon be going live for both Android and the iOS version after the downtime is lifted later today in select regions.
PUBG Mobile server went offline for maintenance from 00:00 UTC and is slated to go live at 08:00 (UTC) on 23 July. So, in India, PUBG Mobile downtime began at 5:30 am IST and is scheduled to come back live at 13:30 pm IST.
Like all previous firmware updates, 0.7.0 won't be available immediately to all users. The new 0.7.0 software patch will be released phases over the next 48 hours on the mobile platforms.

What's coming in PUBG 0.7.0 Global Update for Android and iOS mobile phones?
- New War mode: It is said to be a faster-paced variation of Arcade mode
- It also brings the SLR Sniper Rifle to Armoury Library. The players can also view the weapon properties in different configurations by adjusting the weapon accessories in the arsenal
- Portable Closet: Players can now put outfits in their Portable Closets and instantly change clothes during combat. It will also be bringing new outfits including low-key luxury, high-end atmosphere costumes.
