Reports of PS4 and Xbox One doing better than their earlier editions PS3 and Xbox 360 are not surprising.
The information came from analysts from NDP Group, who revealed that PS4 and Xbox One have been performing better than its predecessors PS3 and Xbox 360. It also revealed that PS4 and Xbox One consoles made sold 40% more as compared to the earlier consoles.
Liam Callahan, analyst at NPD said: "after 23 months on the market, combined PS4 and Xbox One sales are 40 percent higher than the combined 23 month totals for PS3 and 360," Kitguru reported.
Attack of the Fanboy points out that though these figures are not a "100% accurate portrayal of global sales," they are in a way pointers to the fact that both the rivals Microsoft with its Xbox One and Sony with its PS4 have been successful with these new consoles that are powerful than their predecessors.
One of the reasons why PS4 is doing better is also due to the fact that Sony rolled out PS4 bundles, offering video games like Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Destiny: The Taken King. PS4, in fact, was reported to be selling better than Xbox One in US when September sales are taken into consideration.
More new games are awaiting their release in October, November and December. Games like Fallout 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Halo 5: Guardians, WWE 2K16 and many more will be released soon, boosting the sales of PS4 and Xbox One further.
