In a shocking incident dating back to 2014, a professor in a coaching institute in New Delhi's Punjabi Bagh locality is seen assaulting a lady colleague.
The entire episode, captured on video, started when the professor tried to take a photo of the woman. She tried to prevent him from doing so following which he hit her and caught her by the hair, reports Zee News.
The brawl which ensued saw the professor losing his balance and falling backwards with the lady clinging on to him. The fight was eventually brought to a halt by the people present there.
The incident took place on 4 November 2014 and an FIR was lodged on 28 November. Faculty member Sunil Gupta, centre head Rajesh Sharma and admin in-charge Mohinder Pal were named in it.
The woman also raised a complaint with the Delhi Commission for Women. She claims that after the incident she was transferred to another branch of the coaching centre and her salary was withheld.
The lady alleges that the professor used derogatory words against her twice and the above incident took place the second time around. She also said that he threatened her and told her that he was not afraid of anyone and that she could go and complain to whoever she wanted.
