Director Shankar's Magnum opus, Scifi entertainer 'Ai' is struggling because of financial crisis. Starring Vikram and Amy Jackson, this futuristic film is produced by Aascar Ravichandran. For the last six months there are news about the films budget overshooting. But the producer seemed positive, even announcing a multi crore audio release function. The film was initially planned for a may release. Now there are news that director Shankar wanted to finish the film atleast for a july release. Buzz revealed that Shankar spoke to the producer about handing over the film to bigger banners like reliance so that ai can still make profit.
