Jaipur Pink Panthers take on Dabang Delhi in the Pro Kabaddi League at the Thyagaraj Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday.
This is the second match Delhi will play in two days. The boys from Jaipur have been in very good form with two victories from three games. To add to this, both victories have been convincing.
The leaky defence has hurt the boys from Delhi badly. Furthermore, abrupt starts have also held them back. In their last encounter against Patna Pirates, early points hurt them. Conceding points at the very beginning meant that they had too much to do in the end.
Against Telugu Titans they staged quite a comeback in the dying moments of the game but it was too little too late. The Titans too hit early as they had racked up a sizeable lead of nine points as the scoreline read 19 -10 in the opening half.
Then Delhi were left without a choice but to attack. The offence led by Kashiling Adake and Surjeet Narwal saw to it that there was a reduction in the opponent's lead as they kept the team in the hunt. Narwal in particular created a lot of panic in the Telugu defence towards the end.
It was the same story against Bengal Warriors as a huge lead of 14 points was given away quickly. Adake fought back for the boys from Delhi but in the end it came to nothing. Their defence is now a huge concern for them. The offence, particularly, Adake and Narwal, will play a crucial role again.
The Panthers, on the other hand, have not looked back after their initial loss to U Mumba. They have gone from strength to strength as resounding wins have come their way against the Titans and the Pirates.
The two Singhs - Jasvir and Maninder - were imperious against the Titans and the Pirates. Maninder racked up no less than 13 points against the Pirates as the Best Raider award came his way. Rajesh Narwal has provided crucial support as well, while in defence Rohit Rana has looked good.
Another win for Jaipur would sound a warning to leaders U Mumba. For Delhi, a victory would be a relief.
