A pro-Islamic State Twitter account handler, who had threatened to attack US President Barack Obama during his visit to India last month, now poses a threat to India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The account handler, @Magnetgas1, has threatened to take revenge for the Muslim massacre in Gujarat in 2002.
"ISLAMIC STATE have not forgotten the muslims massacre in gujrat .They will revenge soon.INSHAALLAH #Modi #Obama," the pro-ISIS twitter account handler, Magnet gas, had tweeted on 25 January, the same day it threatened "car bomb" attack on President Obama on Republic Day.
"The people of kufr is one Millah. #Modi #Obama...Modi Obama the two Enemy of ALLAH. #26 January #flag hosting #car bomb #chemical...Bomb Obama! #INDIA #26JAN," @Magnetgas1 had tweeted.
According to a report by The Hindu, the location of the handler on the site shows Turkey; but it is being suspected that the account is being operated by one of the four alleged ISIS recruits based in Mumbai.
The Indian security agencies have already sought details of the handlers of pro-ISIS Twitter accounts, which are being used to tweet threatening messages against India and its leaders.
In December last year, Bengaluru Police had arrested an executive working at Indian conglomerate ITC Ltd for allegedly handling ISIS' most influential Twitter account @ShamiWitness. The accused, Mehdi Masroor Biswas, was also suspected to have recruited people online for ISIS' jihadi agenda.
A few days after Biswas' arrest, ISIS' Abouanfal Almaghribi had threatened Bengaluru DCP Abhishek Goyal - who arrested Biswas – that he would take revenge from him and Bengaluru Police.
